Claudia in South Africa

This summer I will be volunteering in Soweto, South Africa for six weeks as a Student Teacher of English with Warwick in Africa.
Warwick in Africa is an incredible program that helps both students and their teachers across 27 partners schools in South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana. In the last 10 years, Warwick in Africa has reached over 280,000 learners, and this summer it is my mission to increase this number even more. I believe that a chance at success, and achieving one’s dreams in life should never be denied to those who cannot afford a good education, and we believe that enhancing education in Africa will enable students in some of Africa’s most deprived areas escape poverty and transform their lives.
As Student Teachers we will be teaching at some of the poorest schools in Africa, whilst introducing new teaching methods in order to inspire lasting change in the classroom.
Just £10 alone will teach one child for a whole month through Warwick in Africa. Leading up to my trip, I will be fundraising in order to reach a target of £1000 that will go directly towards the project’s costs. Every penny counts and I would truly appreciate any donations no matter how small.

I hope that through your generosity you can help me make a difference to the lives and future of many more children in Africa.
